ideas on foods to lose weight? advice?
Posted by: | Commentsso i guess today was like a slack day in my diet lol
im a 16 yr old girl,5′4”, 110 lbs. ive lost 20, trying at the last stubborn few..
so today for breakfast i had a serving of oatmeal(150 calories) with 20 blueberries, a banana, and a serving(110 calories) of dannon lite&fit fat free yogurt. ..i overate:( felt like i was gonna bust!
then for lunch, i had 1 grilled chicken breast, 1 chicken&spinach sausage(110 calories), 1 cup of steamed veggies( 50 calories).
then for a rare treat i had a homemade ice cream sandwich(2 cookies..130 calories each…and a tiny bit of ice cream in the middle..it soaked into the cookies, so you couldnt see anything..so like 100 calories for that?)
then i went for a 30 minute bike ride and drank a ton of water, so i was soo full i didnt eat dinner.
i had a serving(20 calories) of metamucil too.
what should i do to boost my metabolism to keep losing weight! these last few lbs are taking forever
am i doing anything wrong?
about how many calories did i eat today??
oh, and if anyone has any low calorie recipes that are filling, healthy, cheap and easy for a teen to make, please share! i get tired of the same things over and over, therefore my cheat days are unhealthy..like today..
eat healthier foods like apples almonds fruits vegetables stuff like that and drink water and better drinks
Low Fat Alfredo Sauce
Posted by: | Comments
Chef Jason Hill of http://www.CookingSessions.com shares this recipe for low fat alfredo sauce in this episode of “Chef Tips.” One of our favorite healthy recipes for pasta sauce, this recipe uses cauliflower puree as the base, cutting down on the fat and calories. Instead of loading up on butter and cream, you use mashed cauliflower to thicken and flavor the sauce. It’s a great way to sneak vegetables into your family’s meal plan, and our kids cannot taste the difference! Honest! Cauliflower recipes are rich in nutrients and anti-cancer properties, so you can’t go wrong. Healthy Chicken Sandwich recipe ?
Posted by: | CommentsHeyya…if someone could type an easy to make..or a bit tough….healthy yet tasty chicken sandwich recipe then that would be really helpful. Thanks a lot!
@ Edit : Ok I changed my mind..it doesn’t have to be THIS easy!
Spicy…tangy is the main criteria
Well its not so hard really, here what I eat everyday for dinner since im on diet:
Spicy Chicken Sandwich:
First you buy those packages at Walmart or something that have like 5 pieces of chicken breast. I like to pick the Tyson brand. Each serving is 110 calories and around 5-10 calories from fat and 26g of protein, which is very good.
Then buy Bimbo Soft Wheat bread, or if you can find it, buy Bimbo 100% whole wheat. I buy mine off H.E.B. dunno if you have that store where you live. 2 slices are 120 calories, 10 calories from fat.
And finally a spice called Cayenne Pepper Powder. Its very healthy and helps increase metabolism. Maybe perhaps you would like to add a little pepper too?
You can add lettuce or avocado if you wish!
Just sprinkle the desired amount of Cayenne Pepper on the chicken breast & cook it on high. I cook mine without any oil because it already contains fat which works well to not stick so much.
And vuala, you have a very delicious chicken sandwich for less than 300 calories and high in protein & wheat
And if you cant find the Bimbo brand, make sure the bread you buy does NOT have high fructose corn syrup. Many breads do.
EDIT: Hmm well if you prefer tangy…you could always add a little lemon. Maybe perhaps you would like to cook the chicken breast in lemon juice or celery leaves for a change?
But whatever you do, do not add mayo, mayo is never healthy even though it claims to be "low fat".
