Looking for quick easy and healthy recipes…got any?
ByMy fiance and I are trying to eat healthier, but we only eat chicken and veggies for dinner, and it has gotten so boring. It’s really hard to find recipes that I can work with cause here is the criteria:
1. Has to be made stove top or crock pot, I don’t have an oven to work with while I am remodeling our kitchen.
2. He hates spicy food, no spice what so ever.
3. He hates onions and green peppers.
I’m also looking for recipes that don’t have weird ingredients that I’ll have to buy special just for that one recipe.

Crockpot Teriyaki Steak
1. 2 1/2 lb Boneless chuck steak
2. 2 tablespoons Oil
3. 1 t Ground ginger
4. 1/2 c Soy sauce
5. 1 tb Sugar
6. 1 Clove garlic crushed
Cut steak into 1/8-inch thick slices. Combine remaining ingredients
in a small bowl. Place meat in a crock-pot. Pour sauce over. Cover
and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Serve with rice…. Makes 5-6
servings…

loads of veggies, Chicken breasts, tinned chopped toms, mixed herbs, a bay leaf, a can of chick peas.
Leave it on all day in the slow cooker adn serve with cous cous. x

Fish is very healthy for you. Here’s an easy skillet fish recipe I have used before.
Skillet Fish Dinner
1 celery rib, chopped
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 to 3 plum tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup chopped ripe olives
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
1/2 pound cod, haddockor orange roughy fillets
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon seafood seasoning or dried parsley flakes
Hot cooked rice
In a skillet, saute the celery, in oil until almost tender. Add tomatoes and ripe olives; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with fish fillets and sprinkle with seasoning. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 6 minutes. Break fish into chunks. Cook about 3 minutes longer or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve over rice. Serve with hot pepper sauce if desired. Makes 2 servings.
